Choosing the right filter
How do I find my filter size?+
Pull your current filter out of the return grille or furnace. Look at the cardboard frame, it usually has the nominal size printed on the edge (e.g. 16x25x1). That's the size to order.
What MERV rating should I use?+
MERV 8 is fine for everyday dust. MERV 11 is the sweet spot for households with pets or allergies. MERV 13 captures smoke and virus carriers and is what we recommend for most homes. Most modern residential HVAC systems handle MERV 13 without issue.
Will a higher MERV strain my HVAC system?+
On a healthy modern system, no. We engineer our high-MERV pleated filters with low pressure drop so airflow stays strong. If you have an older system or a return grille that's undersized, start with MERV 11.
How often should I change my filter?+
Every 30 days for 1-inch pleated filters in most homes, sooner with pets, dust, or allergies. 4-inch deep-pleat filters can stretch to 3-6 months. We made a short video on why monthly matters, see it in the featured video below.
Custom sizes & subscriptions
Can you make a non-standard size?+
Yes. We cut custom-size pleated filters in our US facility, down to 1/8″ precision. Submit your dimensions on the Custom Size page and we'll quote within one business day.
Do you offer subscriptions or auto-ship?+
Yes. Most products support auto-ship every 1, 3, or 6 months. You can manage your schedule from your account or cancel anytime.
Shipping & returns
How fast do you ship?+
Stocked sizes ship same-day on orders placed by 2pm CT. Custom sizes typically ship within 3-5 business days.
Is shipping really free?+
Free standard shipping on orders over $100 in the continental US. Expedited shipping is available at checkout.
Can I return filters I didn't use?+
Yes. Unused, unopened filters can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. We don't accept returns on custom-cut sizes (since they aren't restockable).

Yes, apply for a contractor account and we'll set up a price sheet with volume discounts and Net-30 terms after a quick credit check.
